DDOS PROTECTION

The service is provided using a software and hardware complex produced by Arbor Networks. Arbor Networks® Peakflow® solution identifies and blocks network and application level attacks without interrupting legitimate traffic flow. In addition, it simultaneously gives the provider a scalable and cost-effective means to provide customers with managed DDoS protection services in the provider’s cloud. The Peakflow SP Threat Management System (TMS) is a critical component of the Peakflow SP solution. This system with the logic of taking into account application parameters speeds up traffic cleaning by combining high-level threat identification with packet analysis. Peakflow SP TMS visualizes critical applications on the network (VolP/SIP, DNS, HTTP, P2P, etc.), monitors key performance metrics, and provides detection and mitigation of application layer attacks with appropriate reporting.

Additionally, the attack prevention methods implemented in Peakflow SP, such as fingerprinting and BGP blackhole, the system also supports third-party traffic cleaning tools. Peakflow SP TMS operating modes include “in-break” installation with a hardware bypass module, SPAN port and BGP off-ramp. Off-ramp mode is best suited for an operator solution as it allows a mixture of legitimate and malicious traffic to be sent to the TMS device for cleaning. The “break” mode is well suited if there is a need to constantly clear traffic, for example, at the data center level. TMS can be implemented as part of the Peakflow SP solution or as a standalone solution.
